Read Books, Not Clickbait!
Why we need to find content that is worthy of our precious time
Obviously, we know that reading is a vital part of any well-rounded knowledge plan. You should always be reading and gathering new information to keep your mind sharp. I like to talk about all of the different types of things you should read, but let’s take a step back.
Too many people are consuming content solely on their phones. Don’t get me wrong, phones are great. They’re convenient and they’re always with you. But if you’re going to be an informed reader (which I aim to make you) you need to know the value of what you’re reading.
Not All Reading Material is High Value
It may seem elementary to teach you that not all types of reading are equal. Hopefully, you already have a reading system that helps inform what you’re going to read next. There should always be a steady pipeline of books on various subjects that can help you obtain your reading goals.
But what types of things shouldn’t be in that reading system? If I were to boil it down into one phrase, it would be “clickbait”.
