This is such a mess. I’ve been a member since day one while living in San Francisco and now Oakland. The yearly membership was a no-brainer even if I didn’t use it everyday. I don’t want to calculate per-minute rates. I just want to have the peace of mind to jump on a bike whenever I see one and it’s convenient for me. This post doesn’t even address the way ebikes have been handled in the East Bay. It’s a shame the service has fallen apart so quickly, it had so much promise and really felt like a progressive option that I was proud to support with my membership. Guess it’s time to start looking for some affordable ebikes on Craigslist!
