Why It’s Important to Read Multiple Books at Once

Keep your brain guessing by mixing up your reading habits

You’ve probably been asked the famous question, “read any good books lately?”.

Do you ever have a good answer to this question?

Maybe you’re embarrassed because you’re not reading anything at the moment. Maybe sharing the books that you have read is more embarrassing than not reading at all. Or maybe, like me, you’re reading several books at any given time and it’s a hard question to answer.

This was usually an easier question to answer when books only came in paper form.

You had one book that lived on your nightstand or you carried it in your bag to read when you had a spare moment. The thought of carrying around several books with you seemed difficult if not just plain strange.

Of course, this wouldn’t be strange if you were a student working on a research project or something. But the average reader stuck to one book at any given time. Once that book was finished, they’d move onto the next one.

Well, something happened in the last few decades. Now books are available in more formats and it’s become so much easier to have multiple books on you whenever you want…
